Attorney Advisors write complex, legally-sufficient decisions issued by our 1,500 administrative law judges. They must be able to identify and research complex policy and legal issues, work independently, and posses excellent organization and writing skills.

To qualify, you must be a U.S. citizen. Candidates qualify for the GS-9 entry-level position based on bar membership. For the GS-11, candidates qualify based on 1 year of legal experience. After 1 year, candidates may qualify for the GS-12.
